The blazing sun
Showering light around
The dark night
The lights bright
The magic lay in between
Neither out nor in
The light a little weak
Playing strange tricks
Sleight of hand
Feint by the heart
Truth toying with lies
Making you doubt your sight
Joys too, small
Secrets, gazes shared
Mellowing of moods
Hearts in cahoots
Fingers interlaced
Seeking to embrace
Faces merge and blur
Love fills the air
Showering light around
The dark night
The lights bright
The magic lay in between
Neither out nor in
The light a little weak
Playing strange tricks
Sleight of hand
Feint by the heart
Truth toying with lies
Making you doubt your sight
Joys too, small
Secrets, gazes shared
Mellowing of moods
Hearts in cahoots
Fingers interlaced
Seeking to embrace
Faces merge and blur
Love fills the air
Nice piece Meera! I read some of your other stories as well, I always felt they are written in simple language. I was wondering why you don’t start the facebook group to encourage amateur writers. I know few of our DTEA MM Alumni group members write small pieces from their nostalgic diary but never posted publicly. I know even my dad wants to write but never published until recently at the age of 80 he wrote/published his first novel after we sibling encouraged him. I would have started the group, but but my whole soul not into writing. Just a thought maybe you can start, or I don’t know if you have already have one. Again, good work, keep it up. Regards, GS Sridhar
