With a resounding sound
More overpowering than the drill
That finally cut you down
Shaking the earth you fell
In the upcoming concrete jungle
You were needed no more
You would be a hurdle
For the cars that come and go
Houses for a few hundreds
Working for technological progress
Replace trees humungous
That housed birds and insects
No, I cannot shed tears
For I would be false
My house that is near
Caused your friends to fall
When we gasp for breath
When we cry for water
When we face death
Maybe then we will remember
Farewell dear friend
Please wish us well
We will continue this trend
Don't worry, in our hearts you will dwell.

Every time a tree is cut we may be forced recall this obituary. it is not an obituary to a tree, it's something like a betrayal done unto ourselves and onto our future generations. Well written. Hats off
