Unveiling

Captured in a shell
Separated but unaware
Connected through breath
Without thought or care

In love with the wrapping paper

Attracted to shiny ware

Disappointed and dejected

Trapped in meaningless dares

A part, apart from the whole

A wave, reaching out for the shore

Not knowing it's just a role

Catching reflections, losing more

To lose the wrapper

And get another 

No different, and yet 

Moving from one to another

Till realising it is ephemeral 

And ready to shed it forever

Loosening our grip on things here

Finding joy in something deeper

Knowing that, like the wave

We roll up and back away

A different form, different name

Feelings holding us in their sway

Dropping this pretense

Stopping the constant struggle

Flowing on like a river

To be delivered where it should 

Don't be caught up

Don't be walled

Let the elements play

And you play along

Know your destination

Know the origin too is you

Everything on the way is a cover

In the end, you unveil You.
