For what?
The mortal body
That will leave us one day?
For health?
That will fail
As we slowly age?
For wealth?
Which we will leave
When our soul flies away?
For friends?
Who cannot
With us forever stay?
For our children?
Who will also
Follow us on our way?
What begins, ends one day
Only to begin yet another day
Holding on to what we know
New joys, we foolishly let go
No night stays forever
Even day fades in some hours
Let each breath bring fresh showers
May there bloom new flowers.
I pray, I pray, I pray
For strength to face travails
Let there be
Peace and joy each day.
