The Bucket List

A fancy house.
A luxury car.
Expensive jewellery. Well, make that just jewellery.
Fancy holidays to exotic destinations.
Best education for children.
Latest fashion.
Fun all life.

Is that list complete? We can add more and more to that, vary it a little here, a little there.

We can dream, and dream more.
And to fulfill those dreams, we can earn, and earn more.

Why not?
You have talent. There are employers willing to pay.
They want to be ahead of competition.
You want to be ahead of the rest.
What a perfect fit!

So here we go, seeking better and better pastures.
And there go the employers, recruiting, investing, expanding.
And like a well-oiled wheel, it moves in the groove neatly, smoothly.

Who is complaining?

Comforts are going up.
Naturally, it means our tolerance for discomfort comes down.
But, hey, when you can buy all the comforts, why not?

Retail therapy, impulsive buying - all part of the package.
Hey, I can afford it and more! If I don't need it, I can always give it away.

Lifespan is increasing. Yes, there are health issues. But healthcare has caught up or is catching up, or will catch up...

But so long as we can tick off the elements from our bucket list.

There, you knocked off the house. Happy?

Oh wait! A bigger house now? Or a bigger car? That amazing piece of jewellery? A target salary package? A dream vacation?

That fantastic loan will cover all that you dream of. And you have all your life to work and pay back.

Have fun. Enjoy the ride.

Loans cleared? Time to relax?
What, you are 60 already?
Why, healthcare will extend your life and you can always live that life when you reset the clock and start a second time -
Sixty is the new 20...

What! You have a new bucket list!?

Don't worry. Scientist are working at slowing aging.
They can give you a third life.
Happy making and clearing lists till then.
Or even after that.
